Our story
It Started With A Simple, Urgent Belief.
Women deserve the information, support and opportunity to shape the decisions that affect their lives.
WIPI began in Bokkos LGA in 2022 as a locally rooted response to the barriers women face in public participation.
On 15 January 2026, the initiative expanded across Plateau State. Today, WIPI reports representation in all 17 LGAs and a growing community of more than 20,000 women.
Our long-term ambition is to establish sustainable structures across Nigeria while keeping community voices at the centre.
